My biggest inspiration is nature.

My biggest fear is memory loss.

My biggest hope is harmony.

Natalia’s mission as an artist stems from an exploration of interconnectedness, change, and the transformative power of loss. Her work emphasizes the fragility of life, the inevitability of transformation, and the beauty of renewal. Using found, often damaged materials, she creates art that gives new life to what once seemed lost, working across photography, video, sculpture, mixed media, and painting. Her intuitive and experimental process draws on symbolism and abstract forms, exploring loss as a gateway to healing and growth.

Her Ukrainian heritage and personal experiences deeply inform her practice. Based in Hertfordshire, Natalia’s art has been featured in UK exhibitions, including her 2021 solo show Vanishing Point at the Crypt Gallery, which raised awareness about dementia and grief. She serves as an ambassador for Arts for Dementia, leading monthly art classes for individuals affected by the condition. and runds monthly creative workshops for people with dementia in St Albans.

Natalia’s philosophy centers on universal energy and resilience. She views destruction and loss not as an end but as a path to transformation, the way of  leraning. Natural elements like trees and roots symbolize endurance and interconnectedness, while her process—collecting and reassembling broken materials—reflects the mending of life after trauma. Her muted palette and tactile methods evoke the cycles of decay and renewal, mirroring the passage of time and the layers of human experience.

Her current project, “Letters to Forever(2024-2025), supported by Arts Council England in partnership with Cruse Bereavement Support, is an immersive exhibition and workshop series addressing grief and loss. Featuring over 200 public letters on loss alongside Natalia’s artistic responses, the project uses creative expression to redefine grief and foster healing and empathy.

Ultimately, Natalia’s art aims to evoke raw human emotion, opening conversations about loss and resilience while creating spaces for reflection and connection.
